Indented Head Tennis Court redevelopment

The Indented Head Community Association were successful in applying for a Community Infrastructure Grant through the City of Greater Geelong to rebuild the Indented Head Tennis Court to bring it up to modern court standards and be a multipurpose facility with the inclusion of two basketball towers.

The works will involve a complete reconstruction of the tennis court using a Rebound Synpave Acrylic surface on new concrete, installation of the basketball towers and new fencing. The adjacent Coastal Trail will be slightly realigned east to accommodate a small expansion of court size, and the trail surface will be improved.

Very excitingly, a local Wadawurrung Artist has been engaged to introduce a story through Art on the outskirts of the court. This will be complemented with interpretive signage.

Works will begin 12 October and are expected to be completed approximately mid-December.

During this time the facility will be closed and there will be minor disruption along the Coastal Trail.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

This project is supported by the City of Greater Geelong through its Community Infrastructure Grants Fund which has provided two thirds of the financial contribution.

Bellarine Bayside are providing the remaining funds and in-kind project management.
