2022 started with a bit of a wobble thanks to the Omicron COVID-19 variant, but with our robust COVIDSafe plan in place, it’s been a summer of fun so far at Bellarine Bayside.
Returning holiday park guests may have noticed some improvements to our facilities including landscaping improvements and upgrades to the coastal trail, boat ramps, seawalls, playgrounds, roads and car parking.
This summer we’ve spiced up the food and entertainment offerings to the delight of guests and visitors.
The Piano Bar pop-up at Portarlington has created a real buzz since opening on Boxing Day, with shows almost daily throughout January. If you’ve haven’t caught a show yet you’ll need to hurry – Piano Bar Shipped sails off at the end of the month.
Local businesses have been doing an amazing job keeping up with the busy summer crowds while facing staffing shortages due the impacts of COVID-19. The refurbished Grand Hotel in Portarlington re-opened just in time for summer, and our food vendors have been serving up a great assortment of summer delights.
The Portarlington Charity Carnival has been popular as always, but hurry if you’re still hoping to visit, the carnival is almost over (finishing January 22).
Two of our seasonal parks,Taylor Reserve and Karrong Reserve are closing on February 1, but if you’re looking to visit in the next few months we have availability at Anderson Reserve and Batman Park ((Indented Head) and Bengalat Reserve (St Leonards) right through until April 24.
Planning is now underway for some exciting additions and upgrades in 2022.
