OPEN DAY at Point Richards Flora and Fauna Reserve

Have you ever wanted to explore the Point Richards Flora and Fauna Reserve? Or do you regularly wander through there and would like to find out more?

Please join us on Saturday, 11 February between 10am and 1pm for an Open Day to showcase all that the flora and fauna reserve has to offer. There will be talks and a guided walk, meet the Friends of Point Richards volunteers, learn about common weeds and indigenous species found in the reserve and help to remove them and make a native bee/pollinator hotel to take home with you!

Activities:

  • 10am – Introduction
    Including, Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Welcome to Country and Smoking ceremony.
  • 11am – Guided Walk
    Join staff from Bellarine Bayside and volunteers from the Friends of Point Richards for an informative walk, talk and weed activity.
  • 10am – 1pm
    Displays, giveaways, native plant sales, kids’ activities and meet the volunteers in the picnic area.

Other info:

  • Meet at the Point Richards Rd entrance to the Point Richards Flora and Fauna Reserve (opposite 167 Point Richards Road Portarlington).
  • Event suitable for all ages.
  • Events may be rescheduled at the last minute due to weather conditions.
  • Please be SunSmart (hat and sunscreen), bring drinking water, and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes.
