The carnival is definitely not over, in fact, it’s just beginning! From Christmas Eve until 26 January (closed Christmas Day), Portarlington’s foreshore reserve comes to life with rides for all ages, sideshows and food. The carnival has become synonymous with summer at Bellarine Bayside.
Fantastic fun for the young and young at heart, Adventure Park at nearby Wallington is always a winner with our holiday makers. Victoria’s largest water park also puts on a spectacular night time Christmas festival of lights. Check out the website for more: adventurepark.com.au

Summer means mussels at Portarlington and the annual Mussel Festival is growing bigger each year. Mark Saturday 13 January on your calendar and plan a visit to the Bellarine for this one day only food and wine extravaganza. Marvellous mussels will feature alongside local musicians, roving kids entertainment and cooking demonstrations.
Another option is joining a Portarlington Mussel Tour. Climb aboard a refurbished 40-year-old mussel trawler for this exclusive small group experience where you learn all about mussels from a farmer, a cook and a deckhand.
