Public Facilities

Bellarine Bayside manages a number of built public facilities along the coastal reserve including the 17km Bellarine Coastal Trail, parks and open spaces, playgrounds, boat ramps, public BBQs, amenity blocks, public furniture, car parks, jetties, and more.

Boat Ramps

Bellarine Bayside is responsible for the maintenance of five boat ramps between Point Richards and St Leonards.

  • Point Richards has a four-lane concrete boat ramp and timber jetty. Fish cleaning facilities, parking and toilets are available.
  • Portarlington Holiday Park has a four-lane concrete boat ramp and timber jetty for use by park guests. Fish cleaning facilities, parking and toilets are available. We are currently experiencing severe sand deposition at this boat ramp.
  • Fairfax Street (Steeles Rock) has a one-lane concrete boat ramp and timber jetty. An offshore reef make this suitable for launching small craft only. Toilets and parking are available.
  • Indented Head (Wrathall Reserve) has a two-lane concrete boat ramp and timber jetty. Fish cleaning facilities, parking and toilets are available.
  • St Leonards has a four-lane concrete boat ramp and timber jetty. Fish cleaning facilities, parking and toilets are available.

Bellarine Coastal Trail

The Bellarine Coastal Trail provides access to a variety of coastal landscapes and 17 kilometres of temperate coastal waters. Meander along the Bellarine Coastal Trail and marvel in the expansive coastal vistas or watch groups of tiny red‐capped plovers feeding in the protected area of the coastal saltmarsh.
