As we prepare to bid farewell to a sun-filled summer on the Bellarine Peninsula, we can’t help but feel excited for the crisp charm of autumn. With cooler weather and breathtaking landscapes, autumn on the Bellarine offers the perfect opportunity for campers seeking a peaceful retreat in nature.
Campfires return for a limited time
Autumn brings with it the return of campfires—something we know our campers are eager to enjoy. As part of a three-year trial, you’ll be able to hire a fire pit and purchase timber for use at a limited number of casual campsites at our Portarlington Holiday Park from April 22, 2025, to October 5, 2025, or until the Fire Danger Period is declared. It’s the ideal way to enjoy the cooler evenings, gather around with loved ones, and experience the Bellarine under the stars.

Dog-friendly holidays: bring your furry friends along
Autumn also marks the return of our four-legged friends! We’re thrilled to continue our dog-friendly trial, now in its third year. During quieter months, we’ve set aside a dedicated area of the park where you and your dog can enjoy the beauty of the Bellarine Peninsula together. This trial allows us to explore the possibility of welcoming dogs more broadly in the future, while ensuring our guests who prefer a dog-free experience can still enjoy their stay.
