CEO announces retirement

John Nankervis, Chief Executive Officer of Bellarine Bayside Foreshore Committee of Management (Bellarine Bayside) has announced his intention to retire.

While Mr Nankervis will not be stepping down from the role until July this year, the Committee will begin the recruitment process for a new CEO this weekend.

“After four and a half years, I am happy to be leaving Bellarine Bayside on a positive note and I am excited to transition into a new phase of life,” said Mr Nankervis. “The role is really enjoyable and has been an incredibly rewarding finish to my working career.”

“I would like to thank the talented and supportive Committee, our skilled team of staff and the three progressive communities on the northern Bellarine,” he said. “With everyone’s support we have achieved some great outcomes over my time with Bellarine Bayside.”

Mr Nankervis was appointed Bellarine Bayside CEO in January 2016, bringing extensive experience to help secure Bellarine Bayside’s financial stability. This allowed the organisation to initiate major improvements to the Coastal Trail, deliver significant upgrades to the Holiday Parks and saw additional focus given to improving the natural coastal environment. Mr Nankervis also worked hard to greatly improve relationships with the communities that Bellarine Bayside works amongst.

“I look forward to seeing Bellarine Bayside continue to grow and go from strength to strength,” said Mr Nankervis.
