Do you live or holiday on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula?
Are you interested in the future of Bellarine camping reserves and holiday parks?
Do you have ideas to share? Comments to make?
Bellarine Bayside wants to hear from you!
Bellarine Bayside Coastal Management is the appointed Committee of Management for foreshore Crown land reserves along the Northern Bellarine.
The Committee is working on a new Camping and Accommodation Strategy and we need your help!
We want to gather a broad range of views and aspirations that reflect the diverse users of our fantastic local assets. We know that it is the users of our parks and reserves who understand the best way forward.
We will use the information from past surveys and consultation exercises as a foundation for the strategy. Further community consultation will be conducted in phases to allow time to gather the right information and talk to the right people.
Phase 1 is happening right now. Its primary goal is to let people know what is going on and invite them to register to participate. You can do this by emailing contactus@bellarinebayside.com.au or calling 03 5254 4000.
Future consultation phases will include a range of ways in which you can provide input, and then feedback on the discussion paper.
By the end of March 2017, the Committee will present a final strategy incorporating community thoughts and suggestions. With your input, we will develop a Camping and Accommodation Strategy that meets the needs of campers, local communities and businesses, while conserving and enhancing our beautiful coastline.
We will keep community members advised of progress every step of the way, so register your interest now to stay informed and have the opportunity to have your say!
