Dog-friendly accommodation trial
We understand that dogs are a big part of the family and we think your furry friend deserves a holiday as much as you do!
In response to feedback, we have activated a three-year trial of dog-friendly accommodation options. By running a trial period restricted to the quieter times of the year and in a dedicated dog-friendly section of the park, we can explore the feasibility of welcoming dogs more broadly in the future, while continuing to comfortably accommodate people who choose to holiday with no dogs.
In 2025, dogs are welcome from 22 April 2025 – 15 September 2025 at Portarlington.

Details of dog-friendly accommodation
- Dogs will be restricted to a limited number of tourist campsites and cabins indicated on the map below. These must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
- Guests must notify of any dogs staying with them before arrival. This can be done by contacting our reception team via info@bellarinebayside.com.au or 5254 4000 (select option 1).
- No more than two (2) dogs can be situated on a tourist site.
- No more than one (1) dog per designated dog-friendly cabin.
- All dogs must always be on a lead, no longer than three metres in length.
- Dogs may only be walked along routes indicated by the red arrows on the map below to reach the Bellarine Coastal Trail.
