Bellarine Bayside manages, maintains, protects and enhances the cultural heritage, distinctive coastal character and environmental assets of coastal Crown land along the northern Bellarine Peninsula.

We generate revenue to do so from the operation of six holiday parks and camping reserves at Portarlington, Indented Head and St Leonards. Situated in beachfront locations, our holiday parks offer a range of accommodation options for visitors to the Bellarine.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and passionate people for the below positions.

Senior Business and Finance Project Officer

About the role

  • Status and Term: Fixed term, part-time, 15.2 to 22.8 hours per week for up to 24 months.
  • Salary: $90,000-95,000 per annum (pro-rata) plus superannuation.

Senior Business and Finance Project Officer will be responsible for the introduction and implementation of new financial processes, including the implementation of a new accounting system. This role will help plan, coordinate, and monitor several activities to ensure the changes are delivered effectively and meet the needs of the organisation.

The role will suit someone who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting/finance and at least 3 years’ experience in a finance/accounting setting.
  • Demonstrated organisational, efficiency, attention to detail and accuracy skills allowing them to work with minimal supervision.
  • Comprehensive computer skills, including proficiency in the use of payroll and accounting programs.

Bellarine Bayside offers flexible working conditions, including a true 9-day fortnight which equates to a paid day off per fortnight. This will on a pro-rata basis for this position.

Coastal Conservation Officer

About the role

  • Status and Term: Permanent, full-time, with a fortnightly paid day off included
  • Salary: $63,232 per annum (plus superannuation)

The Coastal Conservation Officer will undertake programmed works as a member of the Planning and Environment team to effectively maintain, rehabilitate and enhance coastal and other nature reserves, and support community involvement in environmental programs.

The role will suit someone who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Conservation and Land Management, Conservation and Ecosystem Management, Natural Resource Management or related discipline and/or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of on-ground conservation and natural resource
    management practices.
  • Proven ability to work in a small team with strong verbal and written communication skills.
