Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

The health and safety of our customers, community and employees is always of the highest importance to Bellarine Bayside.

In response to coronavirus (COVID-19), some of our services have changed and will continue to do so based on government advice. To keep up to date follow our Facebook page or regularly check this webpage.

We all have a part to play in protecting our communities and we ask that you please abide by the closures and follow the government advice to stay home as much as possible.

Holiday Parks

As of 11.59pm on Wednesday, 5 August 2020 all holiday parks managed by Bellarine Bayside are temporarily closed to tourists, holidaymakers and Twelve Month Permit holders following direction of the Victorian Government and Chief Health Officer Victoria.

No further bookings will be taken and all existing bookings before mid-September 2020 will be cancelled and dates transferred or refunded in full.

Consistent with the exemption categories set out by the Victorian Government, we have some current guests within Portarlington Holiday Park who are eligible to stay during the closure.

We will be notifying Twelve Month Permit holders directly.

This is very disappointing for everyone and we thank you for your patience and support during these uncertain times.

We will keep our holiday parks closed until we receive further government advice.

During this closure our holiday parks reception will be closed to walk-in visitors; however, our staff are available via phone or email between 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Public facility closures

Following the latest Victorian Government advice, and to help reduce spread of coronavirus in our communities, a range of public facilities will be closed from 11.59pm (local time) on Wednesday, 5 August 2020.

Closures apply until further notice for the following public facilities along the foreshore between Portarlington and St Leonards:

  • All playgrounds
  • Portarlington skate park
  • Outdoor gym equipment
  • All BBQs
  • All drinking fountains
  • All outdoor showers
  • A selection of public bins

Events on the foreshore and bookings for Indented Head Community Hall are all suspended unless they comply with current Victorian Government guidelines on group size and service type.

We have also temporarily suspended all of our volunteer programs and community activities.

Beach use regulations

All beaches and foreshore reserves between Point Richards and St Leonards are open for exercise and recreational activities provided you only visit with one other person or members of your household.

You must continue to observe physical distancing of 1.5 metres between yourself and others at all times, and we ask that you take responsibility for your personal hygiene and be mindful of others when using any open facilities.

A face covering must be worn at all times when you leave your home unless you have a lawful reason for not doing so.

This is in accordance with Chief Health Officer Victoria and the Victorian Department of Health & Human Services requirements on public gatherings and physical distancing.

Following government directions to help stop the spread of COVID-19 we have changed the way we work at Bellarine Bayside. Until further notice, our administration office is closed to walk-in visitors and open by appointment only.

Our staff are working remotely where possible and can be contacted by calling 5254 4000 or emailing
